The culture of ISW has always been about sharing and helping members grow and develop. The ISW Network website has been an important central point for the public to learn more about the ISW Model and program. Members have always valued the website as an access point to the core materials used to teach workshops but it can be so much more.
If you begin to take advantage of the ease of capturing visual information during workshops, teaching moments or as a way to share your experiences and views about ISW, you can create a richer resource that can be shared by other members. The new website will allow you to post images, links to short videos, and activity outlines or descriptions. This new content will be shared publicly to promote the ISW program nationally and internationally.
Under the Canadian Copyright Act, materials that are displayed on a public website can be used for education purposes (under the “fair dealing” provision). .
We are suggesting you consider posting your materials with a Creative Commons licence that specifies the kind of use you will allow. The only caveat is that you can’t revoke a CC licence and it is international. As you submit material to the website, you’ll be asked to identify the licence you will grant. Think about what uses you’ll be happy with and what will make you uncomfortable.
Here are the basic options, listed from the most open to the most restrictive (for more information, go to the CC License page https://creativecommons.org/licenses/ )

Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike CC BY-NC-SA
This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.
Attribution-ShareAlike CC BY-SA
This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.
Attribution-NonCommercial CC BY-NC
This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, and although their new works must also acknowledge you and be non-commercial, they don’t have to license their derivative works on the same terms.
Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs CC BY-NC-ND
This license is the most restrictive of our six main licenses, only allowing others to download your works and share them with others as long as they credit you, but they can’t change them in any way or use them commercially.
If you want the CC licence icon code to embed in your materials, you can walk through the decision on the handy CC “Choose a License” page http://creativecommons.org/choose/
