Introduction

The ISW Network Executive Team on behalf of the Network strives to support the delivery of high-quality training and encourage community collaboration.

There are multiple stages of training and experience required to become a qualified Facilitator or Trainer (for details see The ISW/FDW/TDW Multi-Step Model).

The ISW Network website shares information about ISW and FDW related events sponsored by:

  • the ISW Network Executive Team on behalf of the Network
  • recognized institutions/organizations with established ISW Facilitator Teams
  • registered FDW Trainers.

Institutions/organizations with a record of conducting ISW programs and events and a commitment to quality.

Some considerations include:

  1. A strong foundation in conducting the ISW program, projects, or events within the institution/organization.
  2. A long-term commitment to promoting the ISW program.
  3. A strategic plan for faculty development and the ISW program.

Registered FDW Trainers require both foundational qualities and practical experience.

Examples of foundational qualities:

  1. Acknowledge and practice the core values and fundamental principles of ISW.
  2. Possess proficient knowledge and skills related to ISW.
  3. Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively.
  4. Demonstrate a long-term commitment and dedication to the development and promotion of ISW and FDW.

Examples of practical experience:

  1. Have facilitated FDWs.
  2. Demonstrated a long-term commitment to assisting in the establishment and development of their own institution’s Facilitator team and ISW projects.

While independent Facilitators may offer ISWs, these events are not promoted by the ISW Network.
