Milestone: A “1st” for Lahore’s University of Management and Technology

Near the end of May, four people completed the first Instructional Skills Workshop (we know of) in Lahore, Pakistan.

Congratulations to: ISW participants, UMT, Lahore, Pakistan

  • Humera Ashfaq (Principal, The Punjab School)
  • Shabana Aslam (Vice Principal, The Punjab School)
  • Hamid Raza (Assistant Professor, University of Management and Technology)
  • Misbah Najiullah (Trainer @ Training Wizards)

Sadia Asif of the University of Management and Technology in Lahore submitted a brief account of the experience.

“I was in extremely high spirits while making a history by introducing first ISW on the land of Pakistan. I had a great responsibility of providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment throughout the workshop because the cultural expectations of the participants were different. They were slightly reluctant to come out of their comfort zone and had to be pushed to take “risks”. However at the end of the ISW everyone celebrated and cheered their growth and development during the workshop. One of the participants reflected on her experience by saying that “in these three days of ISW we learn to walk, run and then fly”. In short, for all of us this ISW workshop was a huge learning opportunity.”
