Virtual ISW Toolkit Resources – Overview & ‘Show & Tell’

Date(s) - Oct 07, 2020
9:00 am - 10:30 am

This ISW Buzz Group is restricted to about 90 ISW Facilitators/FDW Trainers who are on the ISW Registry.

Join us Wednesday October 7 from 9:00 -10:30 am Pacific Time (British Columbia) for a virtual (Zoom) gathering of ISW facilitators as we explore the resources created by the Virtual ISW Toolkit group. This ISW Buzz Group, led and supported by Alice Cassidy, Cheri MacLeod and Kathryn Brillinger, will highlight the resources available, with small group activities to allow you to work interactively. It will provide opportunities to reflect on which resources are most useful in your own ISW context.

Given that we have about 150 institutions and 100 independent facilitators in the ISW Network, only one (designated) ISW person per institution will be able to register for this event. We will allot some spaces for independent ISW facilitators. If full, we will create a waitlist in case there are cancellations closer to the event.

Each person who registers must be on the ISW Registry as described on our Facilitator/Trainer Registry webpage. You may register for the October 7 event and then complete the ISW Registry if you have not already done so. However, your registration will not be confirmed until your ISW Registry form is received and verified.

We will RECORD this gathering so institutions and independent ISW facilitators can access it for ongoing professional development.

In addition, we request those attending to HOST virtual professional development sessions with other institutions. This will help build community in the ISW Network and provide opportunities for sharing approaches and strategies as we engage in this work together.

To view the Virtual ISW Toolkit Resources created to date, go to the RESOURCES section of the website. If you have questions about the Toolkit Resources, you may contact Janice Johnson.

Another ISW Buzz Group will be held on Wednesday November 18, also at 9 am Pacific Time. This will be an experiential session in which the tools will be explored in greater detail. A separate registration form will be available in this Events section of our website at a later time.

If you have any questions about these professional development sessions, feel free to contact any of the ISW Network Executive Team from our website’s CONTACT page.
